Louisville, KY (June 9, 2021) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Louisville area resulted in injuries. Just after 6 p.m., on June 8, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident on South 23rd Street.
Reports provided by local news sources show that a Transit Authority of River City (TARC) bus was involved in a collision with four other vehicles on South 23rd Street near the intersection of West Oak Street during the evening hours on Tuesday. The incident blocked the intersection, causing severe delays in the area.
The Louisville Metro police responded to the scene with firefighters and went to work immediately to block off the roadway as medical personnel aided those with injuries. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment and evaluation. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
