Bowling Green, KY (October 28, 2020) – An accident reported in Warren County on Saturday evening claimed the life of one pedestrian. Just before 7 p.m., on October 24, officers with the Kentucky State Police Department, the Alvaton Department., Medical Center EMS, and other law enforcement agencies were called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 65 in the Bowling Green area.
Reports show that a 22-year-old female from Champaign, IL, was driving on the southbound side of Interstate 65 in a 2020 Kia passenger vehicle. As the woman traveled down the left lane of the interstate, her vehicle collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The victim, identified only as a male victim in his 30’s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident by the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured as a result of the collision. She remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
