Louisville, KY (October 14, 2020) – A man lost his life after being hit by a car early Sunday morning in Jefferson County. On October 11, the Louisville Metro Police Department was called to the scene of an accident on Interstate 265.
According to reports, at around 4 a.m., a man was driving on the northbound side of the highway when he began experiencing problems with his vehicle. The man pulled his vehicle off to the side of the highway, near Billtown Road.
The man exited his vehicle and was trying to perform repairs on the side of the road. For unknown reasons, the man was struck by a vehicle. The impact of the crash caused fatal injuries for the man. Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department pronounced the man deceased after arriving at the scene. No other person involved in the accident was injured.
At this time, the LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
