Louisville, KY (December 23, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported in west Louisville claimed one man’s life on Sunday evening. Reports from authorities show that a man was taking the exit ramp from Interstate 64 West to Interstate 264 East. For unknown reasons, the man ran off the road and crashed into a guard rail, causing his vehicle to overturn.
The man exited his vehicle after the collision. As he exited, he was struck by a second vehicle. The 44-year-old man was fatally injured. Police and medical personnel responded to the scene of the accident. However, he was pronounced deceased due to the extent of his injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle were both transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
