Louisville, KY (July 7, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Louisville area. At approximately 8:45 p.m., on July 6, the Louisville Metro police responded to the scene of an accident on Dr. W.J. Hodge Street.
Reports provided by the police show that officers were attempting to make a traffic stop on Dr. W.J. Hodge Street during the evening hours when the driver of the targeted vehicle refused to stop. Instead, the vehicle fled the scene and crashed into two mopeds and a third vehicle at the intersection of Dr. W.J. Hodge Street and West Broadway.
One of the men driving one of the mopeds involved in the accident was declared deceased at the scene due to his injuries. A man operating the second moped, as well as the driver and an adult male passenger in the third vehicle, were all transported to local hospitals for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation with the Louisville Metro Police.
