Louisville, KY (November 4, 2020) – A vehicle collision in the Louisville area claimed one person’s life on Saturday evening. At approximately 11 p.m., on October 31, the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 264.
According to local news sources, a person was riding a moped west on Interstate 264 when they were struck by a sedan near the intersection with Third Street. The impact of the crash caused the moped rider to be ejected into the westbound lane. The rider was then struck by a second vehicle.
The rider of the moped sustained severe injuries that ultimately claimed their life. Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and pronounced the person deceased.
The drivers of the two other vehicles remained at the scene and spoke with law enforcement. No other injuries were reported. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
