Owens County, KY (December 2, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in Owenton claimed one man’s life. At approximately 7:10 p.m., on November 30, the Kentucky State Police from Post 5 in Campbellsburg responded to the scene of an automobile accident on US Highway 127 South.
Reports from authorities show that a vehicle was traveling south along the highway when two deer ran out in front of it. The driver swerved to miss striking the deer, causing the vehicle to cross over the center lines and collide with a northbound vehicle head-on.
The male driver of one vehicle was fatally injured. The police arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Details surrounding any other injuries are limited at this time.
