Pewee Valley, KY (December 10, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in the Pewee Valley area claimed one man’s life on Sunday evening, according to local news sources.
On December 6, the Oldham County Police Department (OCPD) responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at approximately 6 p.m. Reports from OCPD show that a man from the Crestwood area was driving a 1997 Honda Civic east on Highway 22. As his vehicle passed through the intersection with Woolridge Avenue, it collided with a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, which was occupied by a 56-year-old male driver and his juvenile passenger.
The driver of the Honda was fatally injured in the accident. The Oldham County Coroner’s Office responded to the site of the accident and pronounced the victim deceased.
The driver of the Hyundai was transported by Oldham County EMS to an area hospital for further assistance. The juvenile did not suffer any apparent injuries.
At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
