Louisville, KY (February 10, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Sunday evening claimed the life of one man in Jefferson County. Just before 6 p.m., on February 7, officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department were notified that a serious vehicle collision occurred on Eastern Parkway.
According to preliminary investigations, a male was traveling in the 1200 block of Eastern Parkway when his vehicle collided with a second vehicle head-on near Calvary Cemetery. The crash left both vehicles with severe front-end damage.
Paramedics were requested at the scene of the accident. The male driver was treated for his injuries at the scene and transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as an adult female, was left with serious injuries. The woman was rendered aid at the scene and transported to a local hospital where she underwent emergency medical attention. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation with the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
