Louisville, KY (March 17, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Louisville area ended in injuries, according to local authorities. At approximately 5:06 p.m., on March 16, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a traffic-related incident on the South Buechel Bypass.
Reports from local news sources show that a Hyundai Sonata and a gray Ford Fusion collided on the South Buechel Bypass, in front of the Walgreens located near Bardstown Road and Hikes Lane during the evening hours.
One person involved in the accident, who was identified as a 68-year-old male, was injured. The man was transported to a local hospital via ambulance for further treatment.
Crews spent an extended time at the scene as they worked to remove the vehicles and reopen the roadway. At this time, the cause of the incident remains under investigation with the police in Louisville.
