Louisville, KY – Two Injured in Collision with LMPD Cruiser on W Market St

Louisville, KY (May 14, 2020) – At around 1:45 p.m., on May 12, the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on West Market Street.

Reports from police indicate that an LMPD cruiser was stopped at the stop sign on 30th Street. The officer was unable to see past a pickup truck, which was parked along the side of West Market Street. As a result, the officer pulled their vehicle out into the intersection where it collided with a dark-colored sedan.

The officer and the driver of the second vehicle were both injured. Both victims were transported via EMS to University Hospital for treatment.

At this time, police are investigating.
