One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Louisville area on Monday evening. Emergency crews were notified that an accident took place on Interstate 65.
Reports from the Louisville Metro Police Department show that a collision between a sedan and a large flatbed truck took place on the northbound side of Interstate 65 on the Lincoln Bridge.
The impact of the crash left debris spread across the roadway, resulting in multiple other vehicles crashing.
One person involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries. The victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. At least one other victim was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation with the Louisville Metro Police Department.
