Louisville, KY (July 28, 2021) – One man lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Louisville area. Just before 7 a.m., on July 26, emergency crews were notified that a traffic-related incident on Interstate 71 required assistance.
Reports from the Louisville Metro police show that a collision between multiple vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 71 in the area of Interstate 264. The incident caused major delays in the area as crews responded to the scene and closed all lanes of the highway.
A 65-year-old male involved in the accident sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to University Hospital where he later passed away from his injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the police in Louisville.
