Louisville, KY (February 24, 2022) – A bicycle accident reported in the Pleasure Ridge Park area claimed one woman’s life, according to reports.
At around 8:30 p.m., on February 21, the Louisville Metro Police Department was notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Terry Road.
Reports from authorities show that a woman was riding a bicycle in the 6600 block of Terry Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a 21-year-old man was driving a car through the area when he struck the woman on her bicycle. The man then fled the scene, leaving the woman in the roadway with severe injuries.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to treat the woman. However, she was pronounced deceased.
Approximately 2.5 hours after the accident, the driver of the vehicle was arrested at his home in Louisville. He faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and leaving the scene of an accident/failing to render aid/assistance.
