Louisville, KY – Woman Killed In Accident On I-265 W (Gene Snyder Fwy)

Louisville, KY (April 2, 2020) – One woman sadly lost her life in an auto accident reported early Monday morning. On March 30, at around 5:20 a.m., the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 265 West.

Reports from LMPD indicate that a group of motor vehicles was traveling down the interstate when the traffic began to slow near Stonestreet Road due to a possible stalled vehicle. As the vehicles slowed down to avoid striking the stalled car, they were involved in a three-car chain-reaction crash.
One female driver involved in the collision suffered fatal injuries and was sadly declared deceased at the scene.

The Louisville Metro Police Department Traffic Unit is currently investigating.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the victim who lost her life in this accident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
