Pedestrian Accidents In Louisville

In towns and major cities around the county, the city leaders are working to create more and more pedestrian and bike lanes that are safe. They do this in an effort to create a safer environment to encourage more people to stop using their cars as much.

In Louisville, there are more than 120 miles of both pedestrian and bike paths and trails. In fact, the city leaders in Louisville are planning to build more in an effort to promote healthy and clean living. The popularity of these activities has sadly increased the number of pedestrian accidents. The Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) has indicated that there has been an increase in pedestrian-related traffic deaths of approximately 35 percent.

Pedestrians have little to no protection when they are hit by an automobile.  They are vulnerable to serious, catastrophic, and sometimes fatal injuries.
