Fatal Truck Accidents In Kentucky
Motor vehicle accidents continue to have an overwhelming impact on families throughout our state. Each year, hundreds of people are fatally injured in traffic-related accidents throughout the state of Kentucky. In Louisville alone, traffic-related incidents claim the lives of around 100 people. Although we are constantly enacting laws to protect motorists traveling throughout the state, we continue to see victims injured at an increasing rate. These incidents continue to increase in frequency and severity, leaving families throughout Jefferson County to deal with the overwhelming consequences. Semi-truck accidents, in particular, often result in severe and catastrophic injuries. In fact, more than 3,900 people lose their lives in truck collisions each year across our state.
Statistics show that more than 80% of all traffic collisions are a result of driver negligence. When drivers speed, drive impaired or engage in reckless behaviors while operating their vehicles, they place others sharing the road at risk. When people lose their lives due to these unfortunate circumstances, their families may have legal options available. Surviving relatives should reach out to a wrongful death attorney in Kentucky as soon as possible.
Working with a knowledgeable and compassionate legal team will ensure that your family is able to hold those at-fault accountable for their actions and get the justice you deserve for your loved one.
