Louisville, KY (November 21, 2019) – A man was killed in a violent crash that took place in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 21st. The accident was initially reported to authorities at approximately 1:30 am on I-265, also known as Gene Snyder Freeway, very close to I-64.
Reports indicate that a Lincoln MKZ being operated by a 26-year-old driver now identified as Andre Reyna Jr., of Prospect, was driving on Gene Snyder Freeway when he lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a concrete barrier in the right lane of traffic.
A Dodge Ram was driving on Gene Snyder at around the same time and collided with Reyna’s Lincoln MKZ, hitting the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The driver of the Lincoln was fatally injured in the accident and died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge Ram sustained injuries in the crash also and was transported to University Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
The Louisville Metro Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
