Louisville, KY (April 29, 2020) – A collision reported early, last Monday claimed one victim’s life.
At around 2:30 a.m., on April 26, the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to the scene of an auto collision on South Preston Street.
Investigations determined that a Ford SUV was traveling south along Preston Street when it collided with an ambulance at the intersection with E Broadway. The collision caused both vehicles to overturn.
The three EMS workers in the ambulance were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The LMPD is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
