Cumberland County, KY (March 24, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Cumberland County left two people injured, according to local authorities. On March 22, emergency crews were called to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic-related incident on Highway 704.
Reports provided by local authorities show that a 30-year-old male from the Columbia area was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra west on Highway 704 when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, which was driven by a 42-year-old female from Burkesville.
The driver of the Toyota was treated for injuries at the scene by responding paramedics. However, he did not require hospitalization. The driver of the Chevrolet sustained severe injuries in the accident. She was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for the treatment of critical injuries. At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
