Louisville, KY (April 14, 2021) – One man has recently lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Louisville area. At approximately 12:15 p.m., on April 10, emergency crews were notified that a collision required assistance on Newburg Road.
Reports show that a vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Newburg Road and Bishop Lane. As the vehicle passed through the intersection, it struck a westbound vehicle.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, identified as a 54-year-old man, was severely injured in the accident. He was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the first vehicle, identified as a 20-year-old man, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license. At this time, the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the incident.
